We landed the #23 spot on the list of the top 75 small and medium-sized companies in the Bay Area. The Fortune Best Workplaces in the Bay Area list is highly competitive and selected using rigorous analytics and confidential employee feedback. Companies were only considered if they are a Great Place to Work-Certified™ organization and headquartered in the Bay Area.
Fortune selected this list based on employee feedback collected through employee survey responses and data, which represented more than 6.1 million U.S. employees. In 2021, we were certified by Great Place to Work (GPTW) and received valuable insights into how employees felt about working at Marqeta. In that survey, 92% of our employees said that Marqeta is a great place to work, compared to 57% of employees at a typical U.S.-based company.
